Just got dirt2 from direct drive i want to play this game offline but when i click on yes to log me in it gives me no option to sign in offline please help
 
Is it that Windows Live crap telling you to log in? The only way I could get it to play in offline mode was to actually disconnect my PC from the internet, then it never even asked me to login. You might need to create a new offline profile.
 
Yes just make sure you scroll down when you create your profile. There will be a option to make the account an offline profile.
 
thats just it its not giving me any option on the game screen when i say conect to make any profile

Scroll down there should be a link in the wall of text. Try the screen just before you mentioned. Just look really carefully.

Yes, it is a sidetrack that probably deserves its own thread.

With steam you games patch automatically. With D2D you still have to download the patch yourself from D2D.
D2D also has specials. And you can redownload your game (not sure if there is a limit though)
 
it says i need to press "home" on my keyboard i do this and all it does is take me to my browser homepage this is so stupid
 
No dude. I'm not going to start downloading Dirt 2 now. But if you would just read further instead of pressing home it should say something like "or click here to create on offline profile" You might have to scroll down the text to see it.
 
I had the same problem when I got DiRT 2 off Steam.

You don't know how much drama I've been though, as a matter of fact, I've just given up.

Word of advise; any "Windows for Live" games... AVOID!!!! :mad:

Wrong button. Press the "Home" button above the "End" key.
Some keyboards have a homepage button that bring up the web browser, sounds like that's what you're pressing.

How do you know the "Home" key is above my "End" key, can you see my keyboard through the screen?!

Yes I can see through your screen. I am watching you masturbate right now.

Just assuming you have a standard keyboard. The "Home" key is different to the Homepage/browser key that brings up the web browser. Home key usually has the word "Home" on it while the other is usually a small button near the top left with a little home symbol.
