On android it is a button above the green + button on bottom right, and it is part of the new search bar that was introduced recently. I t does ad clutter when actually clicking on Search bar by giving suggestions on what to use AI for.

I use the search a lot to get to the person I want to chat to instead of scrolling, especially on days with lots of conversations.

its literally being shoehorned into everything and anything,
and they hoping people come to start using it, by forcing it

like Gmail on Android did with its meet video call software, that buried the setting to turn it off under a menu.

This is the response I received after shouting at it a few times:

I apologize for the inconvenience. To remove Meta AI from your WhatsApp, follow these steps:

1. Open WhatsApp and go to Settings (usually represented by a gear icon)
2. Select "Storage and Data"
3. Choose "Manage Storage"
4. Find "Search for Meta AI" and select it
5. Tap "Clear Data"

Alternatively, you can also long-press on the search bar, select "More" (three vertical dots), and choose "Remove" to hide the search bar.

Note that this will only remove the Meta AI search bar from your WhatsApp interface and won't affect your overall WhatsApp experience.

I found it somewhat entertaining when I'm bored. It's amusing it will draw photos of attractive people but not of ugly people. It will draw photos of fat people but not fat women. Lmao.

Ya no, too anti social for that, it’s extremely rare I need to chat with anyone who not on that first “screen”.
