Disable AI in whatsapp

I'm obviously missing something. Why is this a problem? Is it a principle thing around AI? Or something integrated into apps you use everyday without the option of opting out?

For me it's primarily around having the choice. While we all know the principle that if the software is 'free' then you (and your data) are the product, and that it's likely already using everything we post to train on, having the ability to toggle it would be preferable.

I found it somewhat entertaining when I'm bored. It's amusing it will draw photos of attractive people but not of ugly people. It will draw photos of fat people but not fat women. Lmao.

Disclaimer: Testing these boundaries is fun, I don't intend to start a thread raging about wokeness
keep asking it if Mark Fukkerberg is an alien/lizard/pasty simp/incel and it keeps giving me the same answer that contrary to popular belief he isn't.
And I ask why they think it id ok to use our personal info, always the same answer word for word, almost like it isn't really AI but keyword driven software.

I have mentioned numerous time that AI will not benefit mankind in the long run but there are defenders that think AI is the next best thing. Let's see how it all turns out.

Interesting that you expected it to tell you that he is a lizard. That's funny, no lies.

I am proud that Meta AI can use my data to learn from and improve the AI. Soon every response from Meta AI will be a thumbsup.
Meta has legit good free LLMs that they put out. Llama 3 70B is their latest top-tier. Not bad for free. GPT-4 MMLU is ~0.86 while Llama 3 70B is at ~0.79. You're also allowed to train it, and use it in your own products provided it has less than 700 million monthly active users. It's Its super tiny one, the 8B, can be run on a higher-end home computer, but it's not as smart obviously, but still very impressive.

What annoys me is that they are forcing this crap on us from all angles and calling it Generative AI.

That is a load of bull, I prefer to call it Regurgitative AI as all it does throw up the unsubstantiated crap that it finds on social media or from reading people's public or private correspondence.

It is is a brute force search using a weighted average algorithm mated to a reasonable good Speech/Text language interpreter. Sufficient to pass the Turing test from the 50's but certainly not a modern aptitude test.

True AI will not exist for at least another 2 to 5 years when the real scientists, rather that Billionaire Hackers, release Cognitive AI capable of original thought and linked to a Quantum Computer.

AI is scary now because it is eroding what little is left of our privacy but of itself it is no threat to humanity.
Badly used in the wrong hands however, especial when given access to weapons systems, and it is Terrifying as the AI is not capable of analytical thought so can only follow orders.

Cognitive AI on the other hand will be terrifying because it is capable of analytical, logical and possibly creative thought.

I still want the current AI gone from all my devices but it is a toy compared to what is coming next.

Just my view,
Cheers
Chris
