disconnections

Wierd, i am in Kyalami / midrand tower and keep getting knocked off then back on again ???? - thanks
 
Well for me it havent disconected me for long time but still the speed sucks:(But i think i cant do anything about it so ill just be quite for about 2yrs until my ```` contract expires....

Do u also connect to the North Cliff tower? Have you informed WBS about that crappy tower? They should know about it by now.

Yep, just in the last few minutes I've had a bunch of disconnections - soon my SWE2 box will be singing a tone deaf ditty...:(

Nope, no problems here.
I am connected to the Centurion BS, and have been connected since 04/26 01:36:55 (from my router logfile).
 
JasonH, are you sure that you are on the Northcliff tower and you are not having problems both at the same time?????

I am not sure what the definition of "disconnected" is for iBurst, as the stupid modem does not even have a "connection" light.

Otherwise I had my IP address changed 49 times for the last 24 hours, and as far as I am concerned this is more or less equal to being diconnected as it breaks all active TCP connections, very briefly though.
 
well this is the first proper begining of month post launch, so who knows, but in prelaunch it didn't... man prelaunch was awesome, I miss it...... no cap..mmmm
 
Anybody else in Cape Town having problems with disconnections, timeouts etc. ? Nomally everything is great over here but now...
 
I have been noticing more disconnects then normal when I'm in front of my PC, but it seems to be reconnecting itself again, as I can leave it all day and it is connected when I come home. It used to die and you would have to reboot PC and modem to get anywhere at some points during prelaunch.

Not IMO, pre-launch was [for me] a verrry unhappy time around the iBurst camp fire:

yes it was awesome...since they tightened things up at WBS it seems not to have really improved anything. Glad I cancelled for now, they still need some time to mature.
 
For the last week or so I have been having regular disconnects.

1. This renders this service void. How can I do staff payroll/electronic banking etc online... perhaps they might get paid twice or not at all...
2. With all these disconnects we are unwittingly increasing our bandwidth as well need to re-transfer our emails which might contain largish attachments.
