Does anyone else find these quite common?

The one thing I've liked about ADSL is the 'always on' connection and it seems no 3G I've used (MTN, Vodacom, Cell or 8ta) in either Randpark Ridge or Northriding is quite as stable. If I walk away from the PC and come back a few hours later, there is never through put - and require a disconnect/reconnect to start up again.

Anyone else find it more common with 8ta though?

Sounds very much like the issue Cell C had. They had a setting on the network that if you were idle for some time, they would drop your connection, but not such that you will be able to notice it without trying to browse again. Can you access 8ta's website when this happens? It may be a good idea to note the IP address of their site and also try that the next time it happens.

Please email [email protected] with your 8ta number, physical address and contact details.

What is going on in the Pretoria-North area, 8ta disconnect every few seconds and is very slow. This hasn't happend till now. Has this happend to anyone else?

Having the same problem since yesterday evening in Irene.

I have experienced the same problem. Reported it to [email protected] and I am meeting the techie today. My disconnections vary from a few seconds to a few hours, very frustrating when you need to download big files.

I don't have this issue on my side. According to my router, the 3G connection has been up for 5 day(s) 17:01:04. I had some issues last Saturday when it dropped after about 30seconds of connectivity, but that sorted itself after about 40min.
