Discovery App - Another test, hello world

Did anyone else just get a notification on their Android app with the title of "Another test" and the text "hello world"?
Clicking on the notification just opened the app.
 
Same here. Hopefully the poor dev's manager is a good sport about it...
 
When I saw SANRAL do this with their app i was like amateurs.. guess private sector as bad ? ;)
 
I wish someone could show him or her this thread!

It might have been in the dev environment. I've seen this happen where a dev database was restored with prod data and they forgot to run the script that updates email addresses after, and when emails where sent out in dev, instead of sending to the dummy test addresses, it sent to actual clients.

Not sure.. if I had to guess this was likely semi-dormant functionality enabled for live app testing where only a subset of users have the new functionality is enabled? This is done in games etc a lot.
