If you decline the invitation to open an account with them does that mean they will cancel your Discovery credit card (i.e. you have to clear the balance & they close it)?
South Africa’s biggest forum. Discuss, discover, and connect with thousands of members.
I also got a mail stating I can join. When I use the app you need to enter your monthly salary and that determines your card type and monthly fee. Any idea what the difference is between a Gold and platinum card besides the monthly price ?
Did they at least send a brochure of the breakdown of fees ts n C's ?I would assume that’s got to do with Vitality Money, which I haven’t signed up for yet.

Got a call from Discovery this morning, saying there is a delay in delivering the new cards, and that they'll let me know when it's ready.
It appears that if you had your PnP Healthyfood cash back linked to your Discovery CC issued by FNB.
You'll have to get a new number and link it again through Vitality. Might have to use the healthyfood card.

Delay must of been sorted. Got a call saying my card will be delivered tomorrow.
" In Discovery's opinion, the real-time element is where Discovery Miles will differ most dramatically from the likes of FNB's eBucks, which is paid in batches, currently once a month.Discovery Bank is building its own ‘e-money structure’ – and it is definitely not like eBucks

"but it is definitely not like First National Bank's eBucks system. "
"Discovery Miles will be "in effect cash" – and will be available to be transferred to other people. "
Maybe Mr. Gore should open or use his FNB account with eBucks a bit more, since this "not eBucks" sounds a lot like eBucks. I think they should have changed the Miles name, as a lot of people don't like Miles as they have never been as powerful as eBucks.
