Yep it’s not coming back but it will be very similar in concept. I heard it’s gonna be close to real time reward system where you don’t have to wait a whole month for the points to be allocated. And it will be almost as good as cash. I just hope they will remove the maximum earned cap.

Also, all these benefits without upfront detail is BS. They say discounted flights - then you discover it's only 1 flight a year and 2 domestic one-ways per year. It's dangerously close to overpromising and under-delivery in my books.

Yes, they have been sending emails to the sign up list too. I received two separate emails for being a cardholder and having signed up when they opened the waitlist. The latter came a few weeks after the first.

I got invited and don't have one. They messed up my application but my card is on the way right now. I do have a medical aid with them.
 
Just be warned ... app buggy as hell to get into.

Did Anyone’s dynamic discount change. My potential discount of 50% changed to 75% for international flights. I’m more confuse. At first I thought it was 75% then saw somewhere it’s only 50% now it’s saying i could get 75% off. They ain’t lying about the dynamic discount bit. It’s always changing.

Has anyone managed to change an account that they sign up for but later wanted something else? For example, Platinum Transact to Black Pay as you Transact?

Can you please tell details of your account and how much savings you have with them. Do you have credit card or one plus account. I am really curious as mine is stuck at 34%. What’s your monthly spend on the card ?

I’m on black cc. Gold. Saving of 150k in my EasyEquities. And probably spend like 25k+ on my discovery card. Need another 80k in savings for platinum.

You mean Diamond money status? Do they calculate your monthly salary as 75000? Don’t you have a transaction account?

Yep sorry meant diamond money status. Yea they calculated my monthly salary around there.

At the very least they do advertise it as visa signature, with all those associated benefits. I haven't seen that done in SA before.

It is a bit annoying to have to figure everything out, rather than to have it published somewhere central. e.g. It looks like the international flight discount applies to just a single flight, but also isn't correctly calculating in the Kulula booking interface anyway (see below). My app shows a 50% discount on flights, but this is what I end up with. I suspect there will be some teething problems for some time still.View attachment 696215

The thing is i have Visa Signature card with Nedbank and get all the LoungePass benefits without jumping through hoops. I'm just sad Discovery put that on their expensive Black account only

I agree all other major banks in SA give lounge access on platinum,this is why I'm thinking of moving from discovery to FNB
