Hi,
I have a renault clio that is insured with discovery plus have their extended warranty cover for my vehicle which is outside manufacturers warranty.
i met an accident in 2022 and they sorted everything out. My car was returned to me.
i then did a major service about 2 weeks ago and it picked up a fault on diagnostics, when the co-tec evaluated the car, he picked up the “inlet air flap assembly“ was missing and that the fault was there since 60 271km.
i then went back to the date net assess evaluated my car post accident and that was at 60 272km.
i submitted a warranty claim on the 16th which they rejected saying the part is missing and not covered. They did say the will eacalate it.
the issue is I’m driving without this part since they returned the car back to me, where diagnostics can prove the date of first fault so essentially they returned a defective car back to me.
what are my options? what can I get out of this? Ive been quoted R11k to fix the issue.
