I've had experience with a dodgy contractor Discovery works with too, mine was at least not damaging but was definitely not a normal experience and I would never use one of their supplied contractors again.

I mean what insurance company isn't crap. You never really know until you need to make a claim.

People pay the moerse big bucks for Disco Insurance (and Health) as they're the "brand name".

They assume they wont be bent over with no lube come claim time but you hear tons of stories these days that puts that theory to bed.

There is a list of insurers I wouldn't ever do business with and there's a list of those I know will always keep to the contract and expediencies.

I've been in the industry for 40yrs in Aug and I am still shocked at some of the shyte that goes on.

Dunno about this but when it comes to health Discovery has been nothing but excellent for me and my family. Especially when in hospital.
Also their efforts during COVID made me far more brand-loyal to them

That's the thing, they're not expensive and it's why I went with them especially if you have all your insurance with them you get huge fuel cash back rewards.
