Discovery KeyCare Plus or Coastal Saver

Keycare has reduced cover on certain things like spine and neck injuries etc, the kind of procedures that can cost R50k and up, when you really need medical aid. Just keep that in mind

Isn't that what gap cover is for?

Not sure if they'll cover that, they only cover the shortfall for benefits that are already covered. I'm sure I asked my broker about that but it's an interesting point but I have a feeling the answer is possibly no.

I had a case once where they didn't cover everything for my daughters tonsils. It was like R2500. My gap cover paid it.
