Hi,

I live in a flat, and we are forced to use a communal dish for "stylish" reasons. The problem is that when using a communal dish system you

1. Are subject to limitations of the system (ie no HD-PVR support)
2. You have to pay a monthly fee for the use of the cable

So what I thought, is I could have my own dish, keep in on my balcony and it would stand on a device, that would still be able to receive a signal but be hidden so as not to voilate the rules of the building

I came across this site in the US, that manufactures such a device http://www.dishstand.com/

My question is - will this work with DSTV satellite dishes ?

Thanks

Mac

You need line of sight from the dish to the satellite, so it depends on which way your balcony is facing.
