Ok, chill - no need to rush - you have about 12 hours. Disk Drill is one of the better undelete software packages available for the Mac. And it is very useful. And it costs US$39 for the most part.

Except today is $2 Tuesday.

NOTE: This is the MEDIA edition, so recovery is on external media only (or you can start from another disk to recover your main HD)

Important: you might not find any of your disks visible in Disk Drill Media Recovery if you are running OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion);
that's due to the internal change introduced in a new OS which prevents applications on the App Store from accessing your disks.

As per their instructions IN THE APP ITSELF I've emailed them - hopefully I get a work around - or a refund.

What is an American African doing spending pounds? Actually, I think I have asked you before...


I downloaded that dd-disk-access.pkg and it brings up local disk as well so give that a bash before fighting for the $2/£1.59/R16
