Disney has released new information about its upcoming streaming service, which seeks to compete with the likes of Netflix, TechRadar reports.

The streaming service will use a similar interface to Netflix, showing users recommended and new content in a tiled format.

It will eventually include Hulu & ESPN+, so you'll want the US version anyway. Just use a smart DNS like Getflix to access it.

It will eventually include Hulu & ESPN+, so you'll want the US version anyway. Just use a smart DNS like Getflix to access it.

If it works properly...Last time I tried it with US netflix it was too slow to be usable. Will have a look at getflix, las time I was using smart dns

So I saw they had plans to rollout in the future to all regions except Africa. I know many people access this sort of stuff with proxy or smart DNS but would some of the local vendors like showmax consider buying and airing some of the D+ shows?

Disney revealed its plans for a "worldwide" rollout touching all of the "major" regions in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America over the next couple of years

So nothing specifically about excluding Africa, we just missed the mention which is not unusual.

Also generally Africa (for these sorts of services) gets served via Europe.

Why would cell c get disney+ and related stuff? Why wouldn't disney just launch it here and get all the revenue instead?

Cell C maybe but they own Black and Black already has Fox so why reinvent the wheel Anyway doesn't worry me either way I will either pay the Disney subs if it is warranted or not I have enough TV streaming already

Black has a content licensing deal with fox... Disney has stated openly that content will be added to Disney+ as and when content licensing deals expire. Cell C is shyte... But I was specifically referencing black with my statement... It is rubbish.

Disney is the main shareholder of Hulu but they still need to get the other content providers on board. Otherwise it’s only going to be Disney content… which is already covered by the Disney channel anyway.
