Diversity & Inclusion Training

Anyone who dismiss this topic from the outset without attending one of these from a reputable service provider is rather ignorant. We all come from different backgrounds and challenges in life. This provides an opportunity for us to learn from each other and be more tolerant with each other. Some need intolerance though. In my own case I am yet to meet a person in my workplace that faced the challenges I had growing up. In my line of work we have a direct impact on the environment around us in decisions we take. Yet when I highlight my experiences for some they dismiss it outright where they can actually learn from it. This might be because they have never experienced it and therefor do no understand what I am talking about. This is where the diversity training comes into play.

The problem is much of this sensitivity training is led by left-wing loonies who will cover stuff that is in fact highly contested or at least, not as "slam dunk" as they make out to be. They make it sound as if it is fact when it is clearly not. I mean at my workshop some of my "woke" colleagues were seriously talking about "feeling" male in the morning and female in the afternoon ('gender fluidity'). I mean, seriously? Wtf? Or the huge controversy about transgender people - are trans-woman really women etc?

I don't think that is the intention of theses sessions. They just out there looking for a free counselling session.
