30 000 retrenched Telkom employees can't be wrong...
i'm planning on leaving if telkom aquires us, a lot of people have already left on just the thought of telkom acquiring us. i have worked for government institutions before and i have vowed never to return.
we get these ridculous mails sounding all excited by the news of the telkom aqcuisition. its so pathetic, its so put on....only corporations paying someone to be optomistic can create such drivel.
Leave before that. If you jump when Telkom acquire you, you'll be competing on the job market with all your current colleagues who have also quit/been retrenched...
I used to work at a government owned IT company and trust me, it makes finding a new job harder. Everyone assumes that as a government employee, you're a monkey.
