what Randhir is saying, everytime/post you make about ronaldo has to have Messi along with it... someone talks about last season yet you bring up how messi was injured, someone mentions Ronaldo's one penalty appeal you say he dives whilst messi stays on his feet, someone mentions ronaldo's goal against any team you guys bring up Messi scores against Real Madrid/whoever. Also see your above post,

There's like an obsession that you and Genius have against Ronaldo you guys always have to compare Messi to Ronaldo at every turn.

My post clearly states that I have not jumped on any messi "bandwagon" or changed my tune regarding him, hence I have given ronaldo credit where credit is due but when it came to comparing the 2 players Messi has always been the better one.

Also 99% of the people on here only ever saw messi in the champs league and had no clue about his performances in La liga.Yet were still able to make a judgement "ronaldo is better than messi" when they have not watched one la liga game.

Also neither me or genius brought up messi in this thread

I have given Ronaldo credit for last season. I think you are always going to compare Ronaldo to Messi. Well at the moment at least. The two are the best players in the world. Ill put ***a in that bracket as well.

Two seasons ago, every topic was between ***a and Ronaldinho. Thats just the way football chat is when talking about the best in the world.

Also another reason why Messi keeps on getting into the convo is i remember how i was told i am ignorant last year for saying Messi is better than Ronaldo. I was told that Ronaldo is the best player on the planet and i dont know what im talking about if i dont agree.

I always pointed out that most here only see Messi in the CL. But what gives me alot of satisfaction is to see that same people who had big mouths about Ronaldo fade into the background :D It seems people are getting upset now cos the two are being compared.

Yeah, but dude, that doesn't mean that you gotta bring up Messi/Barcelona all the time. You do it even in the Manchester United thread, which is just silly. Obviously to mention it in passing is one thing, but it's continuous.
 
It takes 2 to tango and you are not the only one doing it... guess we just have to live with what was in the past to still be in the present...

You claim Ronaldo is the best in the world? So why is he having such an average season?
 
Ronaldo will never have the season like he did last season.
Why?

Well last-season he was manu's main attacking force because they lacked a striker.This season you got players like Rooney actually putting in attempts to play in the position they suppose to as a striker and not attempt to pass every ball he has near the box.

Messi on the other hand does not depend on a team to prop him up with assists/penalties/free-kicks, hence his seasons will always mirror each other on the pitch.Majority of Ronaldo's goals came against weaker opposition, messi on the other hand it doesnt matter who he plays against (be it a hatrick against real madrid or a goal against Numancia)

As Senna said not long ago on Ronaldo:

“Now I think I over-rated his importance. When Cristiano does not score, his role is limited. Yes, he is fast, but countless step-overs are not necessarily productive.”

Actually I made that statement - Genius just happened to back me up (which considering his adulation of Messi was a certainty). And the two players who played for Spanish teams - well... they were Dutch. who they play/ed for is irrelevant to the fact that they were/are technically superior to Ronaldo.

Though I seriously doubt that either you or Genius will give up this childish game of "whose the shizznizz" so I will henceforth not get involved and keep to my very subjective view that they are both brilliant - in their own ways. I still liked the Ronaldinho of two years ago more than either of them. Then again, that's my opinion and you needn't share. Flame it if you must but there it is...
