Ya because relationships formed on the detritus of failed marriages are generally stable and long term aren't they...

Isn't there an operation to restore the hymen and the illusion of virginity?

There is actually.

The amusing thing is that the hymen can be broken through exercise or even inserting a tampon. Would that make her any less a virgin in Picard's mind?

The virgin thing I said was just a metaphor. I meant a woman without a history of other men to which I'd invaribly be compared to.

We don't always compare. And anyway, just be a better man than all the ex'es.

Jeez dude, have a bit of confidence in yourself. If you are worried that she has more experience than you and that you are going to be clumsy just tell her and ask her to show you what she likes. Most women will find it charming.

Picard do you really think you'll be compared unfavourably to her failed marriage? In any case the reality is that a good sex life is not the basis of your relationship; in the long term your relationship is the basis of your good sex life. But do you have any real basis to think that she'll be interested in you once this marriage dissolves, other than the strong rapport you imagine yourselves to have? Is it worthwhile pining over someone in the hope that her marriage fails and she'll run to your arms, rather than just supporting her through it as a good friend should without ulterior motives and let God worry about finding you the right partner?

I think that at this point we can all agree that Picard should avoid this woman in the interests of someone not finding her head in his deep freeze one day.

(Sorry, I just had to write that.)

Yip, you can't just jump from one relationship to the next. She needs time to figure out whats going on in her head before she allows anybody else to get close to her, but
if she's nice keep your distance a bit and see how it plays out.

She'll always have someone to compare you with. Ryk Neetling, Steve Jobs, that dude who asked her out on a date at the club when you weren't looking. You'd probably compare her to others too.
Just be the best you can be.

How true. What man can possibly compare with Johhny Depp?

But .... if that was our yardstick and we refused to see any other person, how would that work out?

voicy, i just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for that.
i think this should be taught at boy's schools in the first year of high school.
failing ladder 101 would automatically fail the year.
