Divvying up the digits

With this kind of publicity Mweb's telephone crap is gonna be huge.

http://www.mybroadband.co.za/nephp/?m=show&id=3190If I were an MWeb customer, and had an 0877 number, I would take great delight in giving out this 0877 number to Telkodemonopolies whenever the agents of the de facto monopolistic beast asked for a telephone number that they could contact me on - 'sorry the number you have dialled has been blocked by your CEO, Papi Moletsane...please pretend to be customer-centric, the shareholders appreciate the illusion that we aren't losing loads of customers...'
:D :D :D :D

Excellent idea. Let's all do it.

This was supposed to have been implemented years ago.

Yup Noxibox, you're right. I can't remember the exact year it was originally sposed to be implemented, but it was a good few number of years ago.

Other things that were supposed to come into force many years ago:
- Cell C
- SNO
- LLU
- e-Rate
- New productivity factor in price cap regime
- Potential forth and fifth cellular operators
- Potential third national operator
- Completion of tariff rebalancing
- Telkom submission of COA/CAM to ICASA
- etc etc etc

Well, the list is endless. Hopefully a small percentage will be implemented when we near the national elections. It seems to be a trend these days to win some votes.

getting a mweb voip number does sound like a good idea!

It might do if you could actually call it from a SA landline/Cellphone - but ya cant. You also need to have a adsl account from mweb which means you've already got a landline.

Too early to be of any real value IMO.

true true. you would obly score if you phone outa country a lot.i wonder if it would be cheaper phoning with mweb out of country and route it back into country to say local land line?
