Hi,

My brother knocked over a speaker of mine many years ago and glued the baffle on again. I'm looking at selling them, but is this visual condition I wouldn't get much.

DIY guys - how would I get the baffle off the speaker again, so that I can sand and try glue it on correctly this time? I'm not sure what glue he used - maybe a wood glue? But as you see, he used too much and the glue squashed out the sides ...

Wood glue goes clear when it dries.
Whyd you do such a poor job on it?:p

Try and remove the glue, use something else, apply alot of pressure till it dries.

I have very many years with professional speaker repairs and I am afraid to say that those speakers cannot be fixed and are worthless. You will be lucky if you get R50, but I will give you R100?

Seriously though, it looks like he used Silicon, if so just cut it with Stanley knife.

Wasn't me ... my brother did it. I've done a worse job ;)

How do I remove theglue though ... ?

Not if you use too much. However, it might not be glue? Try some nail polish remover to get rid of the excess and use some pressure to try and separate them... was your brother drunk when he glued them back together? :D

He was 16 ;) And I think in a rush so no one noticed ...

Have you tried cutting through it with a Stanley knife?

I would seal it with

1. Black Silicon or
2. Use woodfiller, sand it down and then paint it.
