So need to light up the pantry can't see what's in this damned cupboard any ideas ?

Got the fridge to the left which has a power point behind it so can run some power there.

Was thinking of using LED strips in a diffusing casing.

Check builders I think they have such LED strips that you could easily modify.

Your led strip light idea or these battery powered ones that attach to the hinges and are switched on and off by opening and closing the doors..

I would use a 12V power supply. Some 12V LEDs and an alarm magnetic contact. When you open the door, all the LEDs should light up.
Quite a cheap and simple solution.

That but would put a sensor so when you walk in the pantry it switches on.

I have a 12 volt power supply somewhere, with a bed lamp switch fitted with a glue gun, then led strips on top of each. Those 5 meter one cut into strips. Wife loves it

How did you wire it ?

from a plug, little cable goes via bed side switch , this switch is inside the pantry, glued. Then wire go to 12 volt power supply /led driver. I then place led strips on the roof of each shelf with a piece of twin flex, glue gun everything. connect to power supply output.

You might be running low on Tinkies. Better stock up.
