Smart Switches AND Smart Bulbs

Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out what to actually do here. I've got all my light switches as Sonoff T0 Smart Light Switches (like this https://www.robofactory.co.za/lighting/150-sonoff-t0-smart-light-switch-3-gang.html) and I'm wanting (in certain lights) to use smart bulbs like Sonoff B02 FA60 (like this https://www.robofactory.co.za/lighting/219-sonoff-b02-f-a60-vintage-wifi-smart-led-bulb.html).

Can I use both of these together or is this going to cause an issue? I'm assuming if I do this then when i turn the light switch off then the bulb wont be powered. I did see some other brands had a "Decoupling Mode" where the power is always passed through from the light switch but the switch trigger will activate the light.

So, how do I get this working?

Using the light switch is going to turn the bulb off.

You could bypass the light switch so that the bulb always has power and use the light switch to virtually turn the bulb on or off (I would consider this dangerous because the only way to cut power to the bulb would be via the DB board).

You could write an automation to auto turn the switch back on when it is turned off, and then ensure that the bulb state is reversed when power returns (but you will have a delay and again it makes the light socket dangerous because it does not behave as expected).

I would suggest a scene controller for the smart bulbs but it won't match with the T0s

Would make it so that the bulb's default state on power coming back is to be on, then switching off the switch and turning it back on will turn it on.

I do this so that e.g. entrance room you just turn off the light at the switch for ~1s and then back on and it turns on the entrance light, but this is without a smart switch.

You can make it so that e.g. home assistant is responsible, so if smart switch, its state is sent to HA, then it will override the state of switch and bulb to whatever is the most recent, and since switch is on, bulb will have power.

Not sure if the T0 has it, but e.g. the Sonoff ZBMini has a detached relay mode, so you can have it so that the switch gets closed but it still sends power to the bulb (and it can get the be on/off signal).
