DIY streaming bundle for R1,000 per month

Pass... I pay less than R300 a month and get all the entertainment I need. There is no more need for the likes of DSTV, technology has evolved, they need to catch up.
And that is? Or do you chop and change?
As the top three are already over R300, unless you're on the mobile Netflix package

Netflix, Amazon and Disney.

Disney is annual - think I paid R1090 last year
Netflix R99
Amazon R79
Showmax R49 - through Capitec
Internet free
YouTube free - not that we really use it.
Jellyfin free
Afriforum TV free

VPN - in the market for a new one.

Ah okay, though Disney would've been about R1390 if you got a yearly subscription last year. You're also on the lowest Netflix plan which is only 720p.

Don't care really for what p it is as long as it's not 480p.

I can't remember what Disney cost. It is automatically renewed so no input needed from me.

Is there an annual for Netflix? Would love to do that too.

Not as yet.

Or...

SABC+ (free)
eVOD (free)
YouTube Premium (99)
Netflix Basic (R99)
F1TV (R99)

Like R300 for all this and I don't have enough hours in my lifetime to watch everything available with this setup....

699 per month for all the sport is actually not a horrible deal at all.

The only 'problem' with the deal is the 1 tv limitation, if they made it 2concurrent streams from the same IP it would be decent.

You get 1 stream and 1 mobile stream plus Showmax is also free

Netflix Premium and Prime video is around R280 for both per month.

So you are paying DooeSTV ... R721 to watch sport and repeats.

LMFAO ... for one, it doesn't include the connectivity cost, and it includes f-ing useless R699/month wasted on DSTV

save the R699 and put it toward connectivity costs, or hell save every cent, pay for internet only and sail the high seas ...

and no pvr

Why do they make the streaming only cheaper? Make DSTV premium incl streaming R699 month to month.
It's not like the satellites have to work harder to broadcast the signal to more dishes, it doesn't cost them more to have more satellite customers vs fewer, unlike streaming where server/bandwidth costs add up and it costs them to stream data from their servers.
