DJs Threads

So here is this weeks mix.
It came as a from Rosaudio to make a Drum and Bass mix, since I don't have that much Drum and Bass music I had to make due with most of the songs being Dubstep

I tried to upload it onto Soundcloud but it got taken down cause the first song contains copyright material.

Busy listening while i put some proposals together... Really enjoying it mate, nice work!

What was the title of that 1st track btw?

Drum and bass is one of MANY genres on the site... I get most of my Minimal/Tech from this site...

I Remember (Caspa Remix) - Deadmau5 & Kaskade
Thats the song Soundcloud picked up as copyright infringement
Aaah, the Caspa remix :)

Tell me something... Do you tidy your mixes up after recording them using a program like Audacity, or is what i heard purely what you recorded with Virtual DJ?

No I don't "tidy" them. If I made a huge error. When I started making these mixes I would just allow an error to happen, sometime the listen doesn't actually know you weren't suppose to that. I allowed this to happen cause most of the mixes are just randomly pick a song from my library and mix. But when I prep songs before I know what its suppose to "sound" like, so if I make a mistake I restart the whole mix

Anybody got one of these Maschines?:

I want to buy this thing but can’t really figure out what makes it different or more special than any other sample pad controller.

It's not just a sample pad controller, Maschine is the hardware unit + the software.

It has recently been updated to integrate with this:

Which I have. Would love to get one, but I think I'll wait until the next revision of the hardware comes out. Oh, and also when I have more than 20 cents to my name.

Aaaanyway, what am I doing in a DJ thread?!

So t other DJs doing gigs, how much should I start charging? I've been asked to do a corporate event but they asking me for a price.
I have my own sound equipment.

Any help would be grateful
