DNS Problems ?

For the last few weeks I have been having numerous DNS problems. Sites work one minute and die the next. Even when using the direct IP or making entries in my hosts file I still experience problems yet connections from the UK and US to these sites work perfectly. Anyone have any ideas as to where I can start to try and track down the problem ?

On 3G. I'm in the process of preparing for a re-install of my notebook to make sure that I maybe didn't install something that may have caused a problem. I don't move my notebook around a lot and use it exclusively at home at the moment in the same place. It's been frustrating solely because I have been unable to access my own domain for site updates and e-mails. My US host has gone as far as moving me to a new server and I am hoping to complete my domain move this week to see if that does not resolve the issue. I do however have the problem with various other sites at random, at the moment a tutorial site I am using for VS 2005 tutorials and tips
