Hi guys,

Does any body know of 3G routers that have built in DNS update clients?

I have problems with DYN DNS address's not updating and i dont use PC's on these networks so i cant install updater software.

DYNDNS.org has told me that some routers have this update service built in but i cant find any 3G routers that do it

Thanks!

Lynksys, Vodafone B970, Draytek. They pretty much all support a dyndns service of sorts.

yea i know they support DYNDNS but im having a problem with slow IP updates. I'm looking for routers that have an UPDATER utility that constantly check for IP updates

Linksys and B970 both work well. When the connection drops and reconnects they update DynDNS.

IF your router can use WhiteRussian firmware (openWRT.org),
AND you are comfortable enough to take the wheel with linux...

You will be able to set the refresh period with that.
Default firmware I have only seen Buffalo devices with that setting. Added that this was 4 years ago... And Buffalo is expensive as all hell gone haywire.
