Do Broadband Monthly Statement

I have used the search button, did not come up with anything useful but if you do have something useful please share with me the LINK, so i may go visit it.


Recently I decided let me sign-up for the OnlineBill that Telkom offers, decided to view my account in detail, Not sure how some of you get billed for your Do Broadband Service, but lately on every Invoice I get billed like as follows;

I decided to work out the calculation this is how it is displayed on my Telkom Account..

I'm on a Do Broadband Package 1. which in exchange has to cost me R199 per month, If not mistaken according to
I'm on A DO BroadBand 1 Package

The Total amount been R220.17 after adding up the calculations..

What the heck am I paying R21.17 extra for, Can someone please explain or did Telkom screw up my package.

My bad to top it up that's excluding VAT.... so it comes to more..

Look, Telkom billing is designed to be read by lawyers and anyone who has studied maths science and accounting their whole lives, but I did have a similar problem to you.

The way they work it is they bill you the price it would be if you didn't get the DoBroadband package. i.e. the amounts you added up in your post. What they then do in another part of the bill is give you the difference between the two amounts as a credit. I'm on DoBroadband3 so on my bill they call it (under a section called "Discount")

I don't use online billing so I don't know what it looks like but I'm sure (if there are no mistakes) that it is hidden there somewhere. It is a stupid way of doing it but as i said, maths science and accounting, life can't be simple with Telkom :) One other thing is that your discount would only be about R20 or so. Let me know if you find it.

yeah even a professor in maths would have difficulty deciphering a telkom statement. god help you if you change packages mid month
 
I heard telkom would charge pro-rate but according to there other statement, they never charged me PRO-rate and to complain and moan, is not in my nature as I've more valuable time to spend doing other thing.....

Seriously Telkom have to have it as DO broadband package it's bundled not separated or maybe they;ve to do it for tax reasons
 
they charged me pro-rata when i changed from closer3 to do3. However I had to go into a Telkom shop and have the consultant explain to me exactly what was happening. Safe to say it was all in order.

And let me add I know my way around numbers
 
I'm in the exact same boat as you. Doesn't matter what Telkom do to the bill, if the total is not R199 then its false advertising!

I complained to 10210 about 2 weeks ago. They said they would look into and call me back - so far nothing. I'll give them another ring on Monday otherwise its off to ASASA I go!

hehe, i had the same problem with my first dsl account this month. Had a long fight trying to explain it to the ppl at telkom untill someone pointed out the credit on the account for the bundle. I bet thats caused ALOT of complaints.
Anyways the guy said it will only be like that for the first account.

eh as long as you pay R199 it matters not how they reflect it on the bill. Now if they want any amount moe than R199 than you have every right to complain
