Do I have a run away process?

need to be able to get in every now and again from outside of my home network, and would like to use the desktop interface

port forwarding over ssh and an X client on the machine from which you connect, if people still do that...

Well, opened the box... found two problems... addressed 1

Problem 1:

Before

After

Have 3 of these sifts, two in front looked like this, one at the bottom by the psu wasn't as bad.

Problem 2:

Took the heatsink/fan off of the cpu... thermal paste is dry as a mofo. This isn't normal right? Will have to reapply me thinks. Right?

What kind of thermal paste was on it ? Yeah you need to redo it.

PC standing directly on the tiles ? put some spacers beneath it 2-3 cm and the problem of it sucking in dust is much less.
