I am getting Windows 10 errors shouting at me and the BIOS before windows boot gives me the warning, since two days ago.

1 marked bad sector is no need for immediate concern, make sure you have a backup, if and when possible, replace the drive.

I have a 1TB Seagate drive with 245 marked bad sectors since 2009 that is still running fine. I have all important data backed up on the drive, but interested to see how long the drive lasts. It hasn't changed in 7 years, albeit with 245 marked sectors.

I've got about 15 hard drives ranging from 1 to 2 TB in storage, but the "bad" Seagate 1TB has been running continuously for 8 years with its marked sectors. The only one of the lot with bad sectors, but still runs perfectly fine.

SMART tripped on parameter 0x5 and from the number of Raw value (16k+) I think the drive has already exceeded number of spare sectors. So I have to agree with SMART here.

Current (temporary) situation is not clear, as parameter 0xC5 didn't fit in the picture, but if you experienced Windows errors, Raw value will be non-zero too.

Agreed, but if reallocated sectors are starting to increase consistently, then you should worry. If the number of reallocated sectors remain constant after several boots, then there shouldn't be a problem.
*shakes head* Dude. Its got literally thousands of bad sectors and is averaging 2 per hour - if not more given that its dying.

OP likely has already lost data just doesn't know it yet. There is no way in hell the conclusion is "there shouldn't be a problem"

Thanks all for the replies.

This was a laptop hard drive. I replaced it with an SSD the following day.
