So at the start of December I asked for some advice relating to changing jobs. I eventually received an offer which was too good to refuse and submitted my resignation on the 21st of December and I'll be finishing on the 21st of January in order to start in my new position on the 25th of January. Yay for me! Only 7 more working days at my current company.
What irks me though is that my soon to be ex-employer has tasked me with finding a replacement for myself. I don't want to burn my bridges or anything, but it seems kind of counter productive for me to look for someone to replace myself when I won't ever be working with this person.
Has anyone else had to help in the process of finding a replacement for themselves? Is this an acceptable practice?
