I've been trying to contact mtn's customer care via 173 to try to sort out an airtime/bundle issue (see the other post of mine, aptly entitled "mtn gprs is driving me insane").
173 is dismal. Firstly, you have to select your language - and when you do, if it's not your first call of the day, you get told that you can't change your language more often than every 24 hours. Firstly, why not?! And more importantly, if you gave me another option I wouldn't have to keep reselecting my language!
Half the time I get disconnected at this point when I press 1. Eventually I get to the options menu, press 5, and again, half the time I get disconnected.
Sometimes I'm lucky enough to actually get to the point where I get the message "all our agents are busy. please continue holding and your call will be answered as soon as an agent is available"... except that that *never* happens. Do they actually *have* any agents? And do they work outside of office hours? I gave up a 30 minutes, which I understand is not exactly a record, but this was after a 15 minute call earlier, and a 10 minute call yesterday and another 15 minute call the day before....
Aaaarrrgggh! There is *no way* that I'd ever take out a contract with mtn.
