DO NOT use MWEB Uncapped, you'll find random services just crawling....

ping works ok on mweb, just dont up your packet size to much!
 
The List of things that go slowly on MWEB:

1. The Internet.
 
A mod should just create an entire section called "M-WEB ADSL", this section is getting waay to clogged up by unhappy M-WEB subscribers. They can then complain there and I will be totally oblivious to it all :D
 
Maybe we should just accept that no one can please everyone.
As a side note - also happy with my Mweb - Uncapped - Shaped account.

I can totally relate. I eventually gave up. I was downloading at 7kbp/s on a 512 line. That is pathetic.
 
Ever since my upgrade from 384 to 1Mb, I have been having constant disconnects, my download speed fluctuates from .3 to .8, .8 being about 1/5th of the day. I am dissapointed heavily.

I am sure she works for web africa. Its stupid, she just complains about mweb all the time, if you are unhappy move the **** on.

Can one of the moderators not ban her account?

Bottom line, mweb has been very good in getting to the bottom of issues. Mweb guy (guys) has always answered questions within a couple of hours from posting. Especially on fb... I once sent him a mail there and got a reply in 30 minutes...

On the net side, my account has been running happily along at 110kB/s for the past few weeks...

@Lisa, perhaps you could re word future posts? Mweb has over 50000 subscribers, possibly even over 100000 by now... You think the 500 or so here are the majority? I think if you get a shaped account, and expect to download 24/7 at full speed, you are not thinking clearly. If http is a problem, try a capped unshaped account from afrihost or axxess or Openweb and see... If that is all working hunky dory, then contact mweb and ask them to investigate... Don't immediately post here
 
I had a few issues last week watching Justin.TV, but I have been watching my daily hourlong news fix since 8am and it has not missed a beat. Very happy!
 
Does anyone else think it's funny that half the MWEB subscribers have had issues since the first of May yet not one MyBB article on the issue?
