I am currently into probiotics.

Intrigued in using it orally and in my skincare.

I have watched a few Youtube videos & read that some people avoid chlorinated water when using Probiotics.

The Chlorine apparently will kill the good bacteria and using probiotics might be pointless.

Do you consume tap water or exclusively spring water to prevent this?

Thanks.

Yoghurt is better for probiotics in my opinion.

why wont it kill the bad bacteria?

I don't care about the bad bacteria hence I didn't mention it.

what he said..

If it kills bacteria then it'll also be killing all the bacteria you already have in your gut and elsewhere. It can't discriminate like antibiotics don't. Everyone drinking tap water would have IB issues if that were the case.

What you have said makes complete sense to me.

Im just trying to get the best results possible.

Everybody reacts differently to probiotics aswell.

I sometimes have issues with the higher strains but ok with the lower strains.

Most commercially produced yoghurts begin life as pasteurised milk, which is inoculated with cultures of beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacteria or Streptococcus thermophilus. Many are then pasteurised again, which kills this beneficial bacteria.

I take mines with tap water.
No issues, and it works.
As I take nexium daily, I have to take a probiotic daily to balance out the runny tummy issues.

Currently taking Biogen 9 strain, 5 billion CFU.
I used Probiflora as well with great results.

Also tried kefir as well. Couldn't stomach it...

yeah no, ive seen improvements, especially among the elderly. im not saying its the miracle pill, im saying it is a thing..
It's possible as even the link states, but it's not a miracle pill and it generally won't work with healthy people.

Yeah I don't get the obsession with dead milk..... what's the point of milk if you literally kill everything in it?

Because before they discovered pasturization people were dying from it.

But drinking the living liquid from a cows udder makes sense? Liquid intended to nourish calves not human adults?

I use it daily. I use the 9 strain available at Clicks and most pharmacies.
I don't drink tap water generally.
My gut has issues, runs in the family and without it I have stomach cramps and pain. Mainly due to meds I take as well.
