Do Telkom employees use ADSL at home?

...was just wondering if any Telkom employees use the ADSL service they proudly advertise, and if so, have any of them registered on MyADSL and followed the threads?

...would also be interested to know if they are also ticked off with these 1/11 changes or if they support their companies' policies on the pricing issue...

In that case they must be paying them pretty well to be able afford this ridicules prices.
 
I chatted to a girl online once who was a Helkom techie. She had ADSL at home, and was something like a 20% discount.

Now why on earth would they be ticked off if the question was about using it at work. Read the thread... think... then answer
 
We get discount prices and we can do our own line testing. so Its better for us.
and the installation goes thru with little hassle

Telkom Employees get some "nice" discounts on ADSL.

They pay between 15-30% less for their ADSL rental and ISP fees. They get quite a few minutes anytime free, cellphone and landline. They do get alot of perks.
 
Why do you think I Telkom employees are exactly that?
I diddnt like telkom untill I worked for them.

Knowing a number of people who work for Telkom - yes - they do get an average of about 20% of the ADSL line rental portion as a benefit - but have to pay the full ISP fee and have to use Telkomsa.net as ISP in order to qualify for the line rental discount.

But then - most companies offer some benefits to their employees and there is nothing wrong with Telkom offering this benefit to their employees.

But believe me - they are just as peeved off with the bandwidth capping and the whole 1 Nov hard capping thing.

I dont Have time for adsl.
At telkom the fastest I downloaded was 4meg.
thou Ive seen 6meg download speeds with my colleagues.

gotto love the telkomnetwork.
