So guys now that u are on 24/7 and have more bandwith than the 56k telcrap gave u, where are u going on the web and what are you doing that you could never do before , what do u love most about the mywireless experience in terms of this regard.[:D] And one more thing, can one wireless user send files to another, has anyone tried this and if so what speeds were u getting?

Fantasy is what people want, reality is what they need.

I've been pretty lucky to work in the web industry for the last 8 years, so I've had access to 24/7 connections before.

But at home, it's the first time I've had the luxury to surf any time I choose which is really cool. If I can't sleep, sometimes I surf the web for a bit like at 3 or 4am in the morning. Very cool.

I use the connection for work purposes, as well as downloading game demos, linux related stuff, 3d stuff (hobby of mine) etc.

Aside from the luxury of 24/7 home connectivity, I'm pretty jaded when it comes to the net, having had access since 1995.

same here, work in the web/IT industry, and is now awesome coming back from work and just surf whenever/wherever with fast speeds.

Usually frequent IT related pages, play the odd MMPORG whenever I have time, but giving me the freedom to work @ home now as well [:p]

Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?

What I love most: hmm .. probably, not having to worry the whole time about the bill steadily increasing while I'm online! I.e. just being able to do anything online without worrying about incurring further costs. After about 8 years of dial-up, it actually took me a few weeks to get used to this, i.e. to re-train my brain to stop worrying constantly when online. With dial-up, it's like everything you ever want to download requires an on-the-spot mini cost-benefit analysis, 'how long will it take', 'how much will it cost', 'is it worth it'. It's a relief to have all that behind me.

I don't download many big things, but I do use the connection very *often* (for mostly work purposes, e.g. research, and a lot of work-related e-mail). So always-on works very well for me even on the 128 option.

Works out much cheaper for me than dial-up was, and is also faster.

Well, it's nice not having to worry so much about being online. We lost the ability to have R 7 callmore when we moved (the line was classed as a business line when it wasn't), and the slow speed was insane.

I don't download lots of big files, but mainly use the connection for communication or research. It's nice to not have to try and squeeze as much as possible all the time, and disconnct to read pages.

I've also switched my internet banking on (I can use it at last), and I can send smses over the net (another saving for me).

What I like about MyWireless is the portability. IE: I don't have to stay at home to fix work related problems without having to ask the person you are visiting if you can use thier phoneline for a quick 2 hrs. Have laptop - can travel[:D]

I don't have MyWireless (CT, you know...) but the change from 56k to ADSL is incredible! You don't have to count off the Rands as you surf... and you can download a song in 2 minutes instead of 20... I love it!

Yeah.. being connected 24/7 with ADSL is great, but now Telkom has replaced this cost Issue with a Capacity Issue...

Instead of worrying how mush cost I was incurring as with my ISDN, I am now constantly worried about exceeding the Cap, trying to limit connectivity to 100MB/day <<< This really sucks [V]

Seems like Telscum services will ALWAYS have a catch, as if they try and spoil the experience [:(!]
