I think that men and women need each other.

I need my hubby for physical protection, financial security, when I am not well he looks after me, he is also my best friend. I also need him to take out the garbage. :D

I've always thought that generally - they don't.

When they do require men for a night or so, they go to clubs, get what they want - then leave and carry on their happy lives.

The last wedding i went to single a bunch of my guy friends told me and another single girl that we were the dangerous kind, we became old enough while being single to know we do not need men for more than sperm... for a very long time my best friend were a girl and people started to joke that we were ghei (not the case) our careers made us not see each other often so now my best friend is a man. It's a need for friendship more than a need for money and who can open the jar of jam..... i have lived on my own and liked it. ( Specialy the walking around naked drinking wine, sitting in the window watching the sun go down listening to my music) But now i share a house with my best friend. We are equal.

Not all women are the same - just like all men aren't the same. I think the mistake comes in when men & women generalise about the opposite sex. I for one want AND need a man in my life (well... a specific man that is), while I'm not sure my sister would notice either way.

*shrug*

Each woman is different.

Actually, that's changing quite a lot. Historically men earned more, because women weren't allowed to do the high-paying jobs. Even now, women tend to get paid less for the same job, but it is changing. Similarly when divorcing - the woman was expected to not work during the marriage, was given no chance to develop earnable skills, as she had to be at home cleaning up for the man, looking after the children, cooking, etc. That's changing, and women earn their own salaries and can look after themselves after a divorce.

women do need men. women are very needy in their own right, they like complaining,etc, so they need to moan and complain to someone... and trust me not their girlfriends... most guys will tell you, not a day goes by without hearing a complain from their women... :eek::p
