Do you attend church services?

Only time I've been to Church was some years back when I worked at an AVL company and we very often dealt with churches.
It never ceased to amaze me the huge budgets they had for lighting and AV equipment. I did see some really nice/fancy churches though.

can recall at least two preachers' daughters over the years I would gladly have ... thrown a bone ... one was even in my school at the time, alas, never got the chance, never even tried tbh

Not in a long time, except if funerals count. I wanted to go in to a catholic church near me and it seemed to be closed and surrounded by barbed wire and chat to a priest. Catholic priests fascinate me because they are trained theologists and they listen to confessions, they are also celibate, now that is dedication. Can you imagine being a catholic priest and listening to confessions? It would drive me insane.

To stray a little, I recommend this book, the oxford history of the french revolution, by William Doyle. You can get it as a pdf if you explore a little, from a catholic country to nihlism and back again. Fascinating.
