Do you care about folding phones?

Assuming there were no faults or longevity issues, which would you rather have?

Apple's lack of folding device aside...

Do we care about folding phones? I was looking at the Galaxy Fold or Z Fold or whatever the Samsung one is on the weekend. I don't get the appeal.

Assuming all issues are fixed and folding phones are just as reliable and long-lasting as regular phones - would you prefer a folding phone to a normal phone?

If so, why?

Nope, does not appeal tp me in the slightest. My phone is of normal, usable size and I see no benefit to have it fold.

Yes a flip phone that is small in the pocket and normal size screen when opened. Also when they reliable with good screen and does not cost 20k

I'll skip the folding phones and wait for the holographic screen projection ones to come out.

Almost 12 years old by now

No point - If i want to do work then i use a laptop or pc.If i want to watch youtube videos while in the toilet any smart phone is fine.

I see it as an image thing. People who like to waste money.
What you (and perhaps I) spend could be considered as waste money from domestic worker's point of view. You & I could be on a domestic worker level for people owning such phones. Something to think about.

No at all untrue. I usually look 'up' the chain at people with money and think "what a waste".
But seldom look 'down' the chain, I guess for some my cheapy chinese phone is a 'waste of money'.

One would think its just a matter of time till they are standard and our current phones are like nokia 3310's.
Twice the screen size for the same pocket size..what's not to love?

Folding phone is for people that can afford it most of us just want something that works and doesn't cost more then our lives.

Hasn't really caught on yet but I doubt its a fad, the format might change but double the screen size.. what's not to like?
