Do you cash out?

I'm down more than 50% in US$ terms from the money I invested in crypto. I'm down because of emotional overtrading, instead of hodling. I'll make it back though, and more.
I've made that mitsake with BTC two weeks ago. The next day I realized my mitsake and dived back in. at a loss. I've since made up and made more than three times what I've lost :)

It's very easy to make money in crypto, but also very easy to lose it if you don't hodl. That's why I'm confident that I'll make it back, hopefully before the correction. :)

What's everyone's take on Monero right now? I've decided to make that my main crypto to hodl, but unfortunately there's this game I really wanna buy during the upcoming steam sale and I don't have any other method of buying. If there's anyone here holding monero, what's your opinion on the best time to exit

Or rather, should I say, any crypto for that matter, how do you guys efficiently pick exits?

I've been holding Monero since $48, did sell a third of my holding off at around $300, but intend to hold the rest for .. well a long time, my personal view is that it's the BTC of the private crypto's - i.e., not necessarily the best, but the first to gain significant traction so therefore the best one to hold. Just my view, I've been wrong before.

rather trade than waist your time playing games.
Lol, games are investments too, people invest alot of their time into honing their skills in video games and at the same time it rewards us with an entertaining experience. If you're having fun, it isn't a waste of time. It shouldn't be looked down upon. It's not very different from people talking an interest in TV shows, movies or sports

Well then it means you're hodling for the same reason I am

Keep your monero and read a book.
Problem solved.

No offence meant. I used to game a lot. So I'd be a hypocrite to say otherwise. I'd just disagree with "If you're having fun, it isn't a waste of time". In this case it could not only mean a waste of time, but money as well. I suppose it's just priorities. Get rich or have fun playing games.

You can still play games while trading if you get caught by a sudden drop or if the market is acting unpredictably so you just observe until things calm down. Normally I wait it out for a few hours to see whether there is a rebound if I get caught out whilst gaming on the side.

Yes, but you aren't cashing out to play. You are invested, and trade. You may win, you may loose, but you are in the game :)

There's more to life than just making money. If you have "enough" - why spend even more time to make more while you could be having fun / doing what you really enjoy? Acquaintance of mine passed away recently - still a relatively young professional, worked hard, never did get to really go out and enjoy the money he made. It's a good wakeup call to really consider priorities.. been mending my ways since.

Reduce work (and money as a result, or work smarter) and rather have more time doing what you really enjoy than a slightly larger number in the bank..

Life's short.

Condolences. Profound words

Sorry for your loss.

So you are advising our fellow board member to sell off wealth to go play games?

Christ, the way people twist things

It's an honest question. That's what the crux of the thread is. I say, cash out if you intend to continue to trade. It's seems like the other advise from Conack is life's short, go play games. If I misinterpreted say so, my bad. Everyone has their own priorities. Stand by your words or don't say them.
