Se we use a standalone water cooler with a filter, but then yes, sometimes I grab the hose pipe and drink straight from Joburg Water when I come back from a run..

The filters are very cheap, much cheaper than buying prepared or spring water from the shops.

The thing is when you travel, the last thing you want is stomach issues when on holiday or business, since you don't really know how good or bad the water is.

We hike a lot, so always take our own water since most places don't have good water that are far flung, so it's kind of become a general traveling habit..

If you're going into the bundus, then that makes sense.
 
Cape Town water remains safe to drink, but does, especially in summer acquire an unpleasant odour and taste, typically from geosmin.

Cape Town's water is generally at 99% of the standards requirements, but that 1% doesn't necessarily mean there is any bacteria. It could be any number of minerals that are at slightly elevated levels. On the other hand the spring water quite regularly exceeds the standards for bacterial content, but the regular users of that water aren't getting sick.
 
Mostly notbecause we have our own borehole. Drinking water from it is filtered and if we do open the municipal water it is only used filtered.
 
Yes. Never had an issue.
Lately I've been using a Breta filter, but mostly because my new fridge have one built so I thought why not use it, still don't know if it makes a difference or not.
 
just for brushing teeth , fish have sex in h2o , that's why I drink only Coke or beer
 
Sometimes, I find the rat tail maggots and rust very quenching,
 
Three cups of warm water in the morning and evening.

F**k Bru, maybe avoid the water where you stay... or get a filtration system, cause uhm, you're not making sense.
 
No, the water here is essentially lequid laxistive that last for at least 24 hours and it is acompanied by continues vomiting.
