the year i did the Amarider 100mile MTB race. No.1 and No.2 won on gravel bikes. They are FAST. anything not crazy technical. Obviously not super comfortable.

I’d love a new bike with good components but when I start shopping it doesn’t take long to realise I’m poor.
How many kilometers can I travel while trying to save for a nice bike? All of them.

Because you aught to know that the top tube should be low enough for clearance when you stand, and the saddle should not be that low that your feet can reach the ground when seated.

Too low a saddle will hurt your knees when you pedal

Well here in the Netherlands we do not have the luxury of customizing a bicycle to our specific height etc. Here you take what you get lying around the corner when nobody's looking.

This was common knowledge back in the day. Similar to the old side saddles for horses, made specifically to protect a lady modesty.

Who has an e-bike?
I've been dead against them but I tried a buddies and man, that thing made hills a breeze. I would probably ride twice as much if I had one. Proper car money though for something that is not super entry level.

I have yet to try one but am keen to get one for my fiancé so she can join in on longer rides.
 
I had one which was not used for years. It mysteriously went out of the garage and has never been seen again so someone with knowledge of our house probably swiped it, may be an extended family member or friend sadly.
 
I have a few. road/gravel/SS/mtb and then there's the wife and kids. currently 21 wheels in the house, about 6 to move on

I have one of those Chinese carbon road frames. Started riding again recently, but would need to do a bike fit as my back, shoulders and neck are sore when riding. I,m 1.65m tall and the frame is about a 50cm

Any tips from the pros here. I think I might need to raise the stem or seat post.
 
I had some muscles in my back act up after a few months of riding a MTB I built in October last year. I lowered the saddle to be the same height as my handlebar and also adjusted the tilt of the saddle to be flat. Seems to have done the trick.
