First PC I built myself was 286 XT with 640kb RAM and a 20MB HDD
 
Intel has just done too many unethical things that I would rather run Cyrix (VIA) than intel. So for the last 27 years it's been AMD/VIA
 
Though AMD have come up with RYZEN it will find it hard to battle with Intel. I am a Intel man through and through, Intel set yardstick and they are simply the best. I have a PC with the Intel i5-7600k. Gamers paradise!!!
 
Intel in primary and secondary. Never had an AMD in my life before. Wouldn't know anything about them.
 
Upgraded my old amd pc just as the ryzens came out and saw reviews and benchmarks still favored intel so had to go for it
 
Intel Skylake i5 currently first non Intel one was a NEC V20 CMOS 8088 compatible
 
I've always rooted for the underdog but it is very hard to find a decent AMD laptop. The Ryzen 1600X desktop CPU surprised me though, 6GHz stable on a cheap air cooler with just the Asus AI suite doing the OC.

Laptop - Core i7 something
Desktop - Ryzen 5 1600X
 
Intel, Intel, Intel and Intel.

2nd gen i5 in wife's desktop, 6th gen i5 in my desktop, some random i3 in home server (i3-530, I think), intel in both my and my wife's laptops (4th gen) and some 8th gen i7's en route to my home as part of an upgrade.

Literally nothing against AMD at all. But if Colgate has kept my teeth healthy all these years, why would I randomly switch to Aquafresh?
 
I had to downgrade from X99 5930k to Ryzen 7 1700 & the lack of PCIE lanes is the only fault I can find... Slight decrease in gaming performance in SLI, but everything else is super fast & much cheaper. :P Threadripper is going to be my next upgrade ;)
