Do you know anyone like this?

why not put some mags on that new pram of yours?

You drive an Alfa. No financial sense whatsoever. So your friend is just concerned you'll spend more money fixing that crap car than you'd spend on ze baby.

What Andy said....

I had kids years back though most of my friends waited till their 30s. I repeated to them the same advice I give to all expecting parents. It is this: there are two very important things with babies. (1) Don't buy cheap nappies. Seriously. You will be up to your eyeballs in ka-ka. (2) IGNORE every other piece of advice you get. This invariably is based on someone else's bad choices, good choices or stupid opinions. Buy whatever you want. Get all indebted. Hate your kid cos it's not a boy. IGNORE all other advice.

erm, if you know he would react this why then why did you tell him you are getting a new car in the first place? let him find out for himself...?

3 months n u duk of the wheels. . . A.D.D?? Lol jokes

Dude hes giving u good advice, BUT if u prepared and know what to expect and u are certain u can afford it then wtf. . . u sweated for the money so u can spend it however and on whatever u like.

My advice u to u tho. . . Invest in a roof carrier or trailer. . . Lol

LOL - I think a pram can go into the 147's boot, I"m sure of it. Checked out some serious Recaro car seat on eBay. Damn I'm going to buy that one and put an Alfa logo on there too. The guy is a doooooooshbag ,I'll take the advice here, listen nod head, say, thanks for ze advice, but I'll do things my way. What also gets to me is when I disagree with him he has this saying "you'll come say sorry to me when the **** hits the fan" WTF???That's a mad dude, I think I just need to stay clear of him, friendship can take a backburner!

Dude you seem more worried about someone's opinion than you are about thinking logically. We all have opinions and he may turn out being right i mean you are still a kid dude. You can hear in your posts you sound like a kid who gets everything he wants and is never wrong :D

Maybe he secretly wants your Alfa!

Why? I don't know! Then again, like you said , he is a douchebag!

LOL - that is what I can't understand...WHY AM I SO WORRIED ABOUT WHAT THIS GUY SAYS, wifey asked me the same thing last night.I don't know, but I feel better today, maybe I think it is because he was telling me K@k and I was standing there listening to it...

and oh - in your post you sound like a 19 year old

Yup like a young whiny brat who gets everything :D

Alfa, he does sound like a bit of a db cos your are listening to him, giving him your opinion only to be told "you will be sorry".

Getting back to the pram fitting in the boot. there are many options as you may have noticed. small prams bigger ones, cheap, expensive, heavy, light, carseat-pram combo. remember that you will need an infant seat at first-one that makes the baby lay on his back with a little elevation so watch out for that. the wrong advice from a salesperson can see you spending money on the wrong item at the time. you can get a bigger seat after about 12 months depending on the size of the baby. U will also want to get a seat protector to put the seat on. costs about R250. it also has pockets to store the milk bottle, toys etc.

Dont forget the mirror to be able to see him/her when driving. those are like R100 but make sure you get the right one.
Dark tint or window sox will be required for the side the baby sits on which is the passenger side rear window. Don't bother putting it on driver side cos it messes up the blindspot. After a while you can swop out the sox as you will notice they fade.

Did I get offtopic?

No no no you are right on topic...more more more more!

That Recaro seat I want has the dock for the seat AND is adjustable so its for infants and up tot 4 years old!!!

Thats sounds interesting. Got a pic/link?
U may also need an insert to the seat to ensure the babies head stays stable and does not move sideways. It is usually made of some soft material/cloth and an inner foam. Another thing to watch out for with the seat is that it will be facing the rear diection in the infant setup. I suggest you go try it out in car before purchase. For example the Ferrari one I purchased, when in the rear facing position, the backrest had too much of an angle to seat the baby in a safe position. His head was gonna flop forward which is really dangerous especially in an impact.

Also remember that you cant put the seat in the front cos of the airbag. as for deactivating the airbag, most manufacturers wont do it. there's alot of paperwork. so i was told at BMW when I tried.
