If you answered yes you can, the real question is, "what mode do you fly in"? That answer will tell you the split between those that can and those that think they can.

I venture into sport mode now and then..
 
Question for the RC guys: do you still get sim software you can plug your controller into? Mate of mine used this ages ago and I'd imagine these days it'd be a great way to hone skills with current tech like VR.

Yes Realflight and the cheaper Phoenix rc are both good for hooking up.

Haven't heard good things about using VR.

More interesting is hooking up flightcams to real RC planes though to fly in first person. Course that's the same way drone racing was working.

You need both eyes when flying a heli. Not easy. Drones are very easy
