But sometimes, when people are being so incredibly noisy that I can hear them through my office walls, I will plug in the earphones.
I will then listen to something middling-loud which I know very, very well - so as not to distract me. Little Feat. Steely Dan. Grateful Dead. Doobie Brothers. Bowie.
