I've also considered the idea of getting sports shooting license instead, for home defence I like the idea of a shotgun, but would also want to EDC.

Can't have both with self defence license.

I'm just not in the mood to argue with a cop on why I'm EDC'ing with a sports shooting FA.

I went for the S15 10 year license as I’d rather argue with a cop than reapply every 5 years.

I wouldn't avoid S15 or S16 for that. If you find a difficult cop he will find anything to kak on your day, the trend is that you can't carry hollowpoints or whatever flavour of BS is going around the stations

I once dipped my arm in methylated spirits and sparked it. I do not recommend this.
thats nothing iwanted to put benzine on the fire to make it better, this was in the mountains. So i open the bottle and pour, and the fkin flames creeped up in to the bottle,I got such a fright i threw the bottle and the stuff spilled on me lighting my entire body.I was the human torch falling on the ground and rolling nad my friends throwing sand on me.Lucky my jacket was burning and not me, so i sat there at the fire place shivering from the shock, and friends making fun if me all night,

Take away the guns, thats going to end the murder of innocents. LOL!!!
I'm not on reddit... Is this the one with the robber getting his knife taken away and that guy walking in and apologizing for interrupting the robbery?

This made me wonder about the mentality of the idiots governing the UK right now

Nice try Fed boy :sneaky::sneaky::sneaky:...

I'm just putting the following out there again, biased articles, misinformation regarding FA's, blatant lies and misleading statistics, poor journalism, one-sided views/opinions.

I have one of these:

Actually considering going to CityGuns tomorrow though, I believe they are a onestop shop that can help from start to end of application, licensing, competency, etc.
First step is proficiency training. and the gun shop will point you in the right direction. They might even offer training. During that training you'll also learn what the next steps are.

You can also buy the firearm at any time, you just can't take it home until you have a license for it. Storage costs may be a thing, but sometimes a good special might make it worth it to buy before you start the training.

Buying it before you start training might also serve as a good motivation to complete the process.
I have many friends that did the proficiency training, but then fell at the next hurdle, and never applied for competency. You do have a good chance of falling for salesman talk though, and buying the wrong gun. But even the proficiency training won't fix that.

Status actually moved today. I can see the end in sight now. It's just a long ass process. You can pretty much say from start to getting the FA is a year, or close to it. I still need to do so much training.

Will ammo ever go down again or is 350 and up the new norm for 9mm going forward? Range for 30min with ammo is 500 bucks a pop now basically.
