who plays dota around here???:D

i have started playing it about a month ago and only started to realy like it this weekend. im getting the hand of it now.:D

so what is your Favarate character:) ?

DOTA = defence of the ancients

Its a warcraft 3 mod/map

You select a hero of your choice and fight with that hero - levelling up and gaining gold which you use to buy items and make urself stronger,faster more intelligent etc.

Its a very addictive game, and i enjoy it alot.

do you guys have tips for me that i can use....

like what is the best way to get better in the game.
what will be the best item for my "sharpeye".
i mostly play against ai heroes. i can take on 3 insane heroes and still win but i seems to be harder when i insert 4 ai heroes in my team and 5 in theres and all on normal. id say im just above a :D nooooooob:o so any advise will do...

have you played Final Fantasy 10. if so the phantom lancer looks like khamari(the blue bear with no horn that does not talk much and folows juna everywhere:eek: )
 
Kardell is a good hero to learn how to play with.
Start by selecting the distance upgrade first.
It will help you in terms of defence, and especially try fight in the same lane as melee opposition, taking pot shots at them and keeping their hp low for assasinate.
Scattershot should be used for farming and pushing, its a great option to use when there are alot of creeps and u all of a sudden kill the enemy creeps with one scattershot and then ur creeps are free to attack heroes.

A build that i have seen on the dota forums for kardell start like this :

1. gauntlets of ogre strength
2. circlet of nobility
3. flask of sapphire water
4. clarity potion

those u buy once u select kardell
after awhile/wen u can afford it

1. point booster
2. bracer
3. staff of wizardry
4. boots of speed
5. void stone
6. robe of the magi ---> euls scepter of divinity

now u have alot of mana so use scattershot to farm
then u buy

1. ultimate orb
2. ultimate orb
3. eye of skadi
4. quarterstaff
5. sobi mask
6. robe of the magi --> oblivion staff
7. guinsoos scyth of vyse.

So now u have a hero with decent hp, attack and frost attack aswell as the ability to turn ur enemy into sheep with the scyth of vyse. and obviously its ulti -> assasinate.

Its very important in the beggining not to die, and its reasonably easy with kardell because if you upgrade his range then he can stand far enough back and pick off damage from the enemy.

Best tip i can give is to not die, and watch the mini map for when the enemy has dissapeared from other areas of the map, which means they prob on their way to gang u. and never buy a recipe before an item.

Cant think of 2many other things, but feel free to ask.

tried that build before justinct...against noob opponents it might work well but Kardel needs life, damage and health against the more experienced players.

This should be his item build (at least works well for me).
Boots
ring of health
void stone ( makes perseverance)
2x wraith bands
Ultimate orb
Linkins sphere
(now u should be quite a farmer)
2x ulti orb
point booster
eye of skadi recipe
butterfly (recipe + ingredients)
now u can get whatever else u want...probably go for buriza or mkb.
if by the time u get buriza the game is still on sell ur treads and buy boots of travel.

Build stun and range skill and spam ur opponents at the beginning. Scattershot if u really want but that doesn't allow enough mana for ulti when u use it often if u use the above item build in early game. Spam ur ulti when u lvl 11. Don't always wait to use it to kill.

Try and play online rather than ai maps...ai maps can't match the fun u have when u play online.
 
hmm, no disrespect to all, i played DOTA for about a year and got so annoyed because we played it all the freakin time, I ended up deleting warcraft:D

no it doesn't work. Power treads are a waste of money if u buy more than one. Yes..the attack speed stacks but the movement speed doesn't. Rather buy hyperstones or mask of madness. Sange and yasha is good for him but never a divine rapier if u don't have an aegis especially in a network game. If u die u lose it and then u pretty screwed. Again...boots of travel does not stack with powertreads. Don't get both. Choose either one. Instead of rapier get him a butterfly or monkey king bar.

An item build that works well with sharpeye (pumps his speed and damage) (used by one of my friends who plays quite often)

Sange & Yasha
Monkey King Bar
Burize do Kanyon
Butterfly
Boots of Travel

Guaranteed high damage and soreness for anyone who comes up against you. He has always and I think mostly will always be made of paper though.

Another item to consider is Eye of Skadi.

Yes I do, almost every night :D
Don't really have a favorite hero.
 
The druid is a monster in the right hands. Virtually unkillable, fast as hell and lethal.

Same goes for Death Prophet although she's pretty weak in the HP area. She can seriously spam heroes to death though. And her little ultimate is not pleasant to be on the receiving end of.
