I would prefer app, but not many places I buy from support apps like Zapper or SnapScan, so for that reason I put card.

It says "what do you prefer" not "what do you use most"

Card, months go by where I don't have a cent of cash in my wallet.
I haven't really given the app thing a go yet.

Card. I am not a fan of carrying cash - just now I lose my wallet (happened once in 2014... thank goodness there was no money in it).

Hmmm... you're brave. Your wallet must be packed with R100 / R200 notes.

Card, it's quick and easy. Never used a payment app before, just seems like a more complicated version of card payments to me. :p
Cash is just annoying, makes the wallet all bulgy (cos I'm loaded you know  ) .. Also I'm quite particular about tracking all my expenses and cash makes that a lot less convenient, need to keep slips for everything.

Bank cards with rewards program. Not sure why one will use an app linked to your card, why not just use your card?

Where is the appeal in using apps?

If you include systems like ApplePay in the app category, it is more than just an app, it’s quicker and simpler than even contactless tap and pay with a card, especially when using a Watch. Double click side button and touch the reader and done. No pulling out wallet and finding the card, no pin input, no hassle...

I have not tried Apps much, although I've had a Paypal account for E-bay purchases for more than 10 years now.

So currently, card.

card. Only ever draw cash if I need to buy something at a shop that don't take cards, and that doesn't happen often. Trying hard to think when.I last had bank.notes in my wallet.

Contactless card for pretty much everything. Only ever use cash at work because that's all the canteen accepts.

No I meant the pure apps

Payment apps .. it’s the way of the future
Why? NFC tech seems like a better bet to me
