I said yes but basically, fil has my password and uses it maybe once a month, if that much.

I share with my parents, and 99% of the time it's just my mom and me using it because my dad works a lot.

Yeah. In our family, each subscribes to a different platform and then shares that with the rest. If I was unable to share then I'd simply move around, one month on Netflix, one month on Amazon Prime, and so on.

Started with a brother in law getting netflix and us showmax and sharing passwords around. Now that he is in NZ apparently showmax no longer works so I switched to paying half the bill over to his SA account. Guessing Netflix will pull the trigger at some point and I will then get my own I suspect.

Not really

What is a Netflix household?

A Netflix account is for people who live together in a single household. This single household is the Netflix household and is associated with the primary account owner’s devices and the devices used by other people who live in the Netflix household.

When a device outside of the Netflix household signs in to an account, we may ask the primary account owner to verify that device before it can be used to watch Netflix. We do this to confirm that the device using the account is authorized to do so. This helps our members enjoy Netflix while they're traveling or visiting friends or family, and when using devices for the first time.

From their own site.

This means I can go visit somebody, sign into their TV's and verify that they're allowed to watch, forget to log out and leave.

Also, by the looks of it, these are updated TOS (not 100% sure though)

Always. That is how Torrents work....

The experience of using the paid subs is much better especially if you are watching everyday.

Torrents are better if you only watch a couple of times per week.

I got the subs mostly for my folks. They will never figure out torrents.

I have a buddy who shares Netflix. Other than that I'm a pirate.

Depends on the definition of a household. My definition of my extended digital household differs from the dictionary definition.

Pay my buddy R630 for the year for his Netflix.. R52.50 is worth it in my opinion.. And he gets three months for free.. It's a win win..
