Laptops only good for email and working on the go - nothing beats a multi-monitor desktop setup for getting work done!

I still use a PC at home and work!

I love my iPad, but cannot divorce my PCs at home and work, mainly because my mailing-list works from MS Outlook and I'm addicted to MS Office.

Desktops at both home and work. Home one is used for gaming and everything else a home PC is used for, but I wouldn't mind a laptop at work since I can still do multiple screens and have the option of taking it home which would free me up from needing to have work stuff on my home pc.

At home, for gaming and projects. Still need the upgrade versatility a desktop gives over a laptop

Yes - at home.
At work have a laptop and 2nd screen which I enjoy more.
Also enjoy upgrading my desktop.

Yes,
The speed on my desktop would cost a fortune if I bought a laptop. The statistical software that I run runs for up to 2 days with 4 cores at 100% and the BIG fan going full bore. My friend tried his laptop as he said that it was really fast - it just cooked - had to replace.

Desktop. It is easier and cheaper to repair.Finds typing on a laptop awkward and I love the mouse.

My Desktop PC is a File server.
My Laptop is for mobile & internet use

Desktop for everything, except when lying in bed, then tablet or netbook for short periods.

Desktop for media storage and photo manipulation.... and kids to play games.
Laptop for work and wife has laptop at home...

Laptop for work, and 2 x PCs for home use (gaming and media center).

yes, both home media and general PC (gaming included) - work, well for work :)

Personal devices:
Desktop for Gaming
SBCs for NAS, HTPC and network management
Console (xbox and playstation) for gaming (arcade/platform specific)

Office devices:
Laptop for daily office use
Desktop for data analysis, modeling and processing

If it's process/performance intensive tasks, nothing beats a good ol desktop
